Gulf of Mexico Drive is the Key’s major north-south thoroughfare and two bridges will take you out to the island. The Ringling Causeway extends from Longboat Key to Lido Key/St. Armand’s and into downtown Sarasota. The north bridge connects Longboat Key to the Bradenton beaches.
Once you arrive on the Key, you can easily commute via car or take public transportation, including the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT), iRide, or Siesta Key Breeze Trolly. Electric bikes and segway tours are also a fun way to explore the area.
